About the Role
As a Materials Planner, you will be responsible for the Material Planning of Mercury Systems International.
Responsibilities:
- Utilise relevant ERP/MRP system(s) to plan and manage material requirements for production work orders, ensuring availability of materials at the right time and in the right quantities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and inventory management, to develop and maintain accurate material forecasts and plans.
- Monitor inventory levels and analyse demand patterns to identify potential stock-outs or excesses, proactively taking corrective actions to optimise inventory.
- Initiate and coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, monitoring risks and issues that may impact production schedules.
- Continuously analyse and improve material planning processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardisation, and enhanced data accuracy within the ERP/MRP system.
- Support the generation and analysis of reports related to material planning, such as demand forecasts, inventory status, and production schedules to support master planning, S&OP and IBP.
