We are seeking applications from suitably qualified and motivated individuals for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer position. The successful applicant will carry out reactive and proactive maintenance on all site plant and equipment, resolving equipment failures and completing planned and unplanned engineering tasks in a responsive and effective manner.

The successful candidate will take personal accountability for providing a responsive and effective maintenance service and should possess the qualities outlined below.

Your Role & Impact

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of plant machinery.
  • Work closely with the production team to minimise equipment downtime and improve productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and equipment efficiency.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team and liaise with external contractors when necessary.
  • Work on automation systems, including Siemens, Rockwell (Allen Bradley), GE, Mitsubishi, and Omron control systems.
  • Work on system controls and I/O's across site instrumentation and fault finding.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot inverters and 3-phase motors.
  • Support instrumentation systems across site operations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with PLC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is desirable.
  • A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC, or equivalent) in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work shifts.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
