The Role
As a Structural Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out structural inspections, investigating defects and producing detailed reports for clients. You'll work on a diverse portfolio of projects across residential, commercial and historic buildings while contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural inspections of a wide range of buildings and structures.
- Diagnose structural defects and identify appropriate remedial solutions.
- Produce clear, detailed structural survey reports.
- Prepare specifications for remedial works.
- Liaise with senior management and provide regular project updates.
- Support the continued development and growth of the business through innovative ideas and technical input.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Several years' post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
- Proven experience carrying out structural surveys and producing structural reports.
- Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional construction methods.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written report writing and communication skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable Experience
- Chartered or working towards Chartership (MIStructE or MICE).
- Experience working with historic or listed buildings.
