The Role
As Site Agent, you'll take full ownership of project delivery on site – leading your team and ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You'll be responsible for managing site operations from start through to completion, coordinating teams, engaging with clients, and driving performance across all areas of the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage site teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Ensure full compliance with HSQE standards and promote a strong safety culture
- Plan and coordinate construction activities to meet programme deadlines
- Oversee project resources including labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, attending regular progress meetings
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and performance, reporting to senior leadership
- Manage contract documentation, variations, and change control processes
- Support procurement activities and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
- Mentor and develop junior site staff
- Ensure all regulatory and legal requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Member of a relevant professional body (or working towards it)
- Chartered status (or actively progressing toward it)
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a Site Agent or similar role
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Proven ability to deliver projects within budget and programme
