We are currently partnering with a leading specialist contractor within the roofing, cladding, and façade sector to recruit an experienced 3D BIM (Revit) Designer. With a strong pipeline of live and upcoming projects across the UK, this is a key hire within a growing design team. The business is actively reviewing profiles and can move quickly for the right candidate.
The Role
This is a hands-on BIM design role where you will be responsible for delivering high-quality 3D models and coordinated design information across multiple projects. You will play a key role in ensuring designs are delivered on time, compliant with regulations, and aligned with client expectations.
- Producing and coordinating high-quality 3D BIM models using Revit
- Managing the development and implementation of design proposals
- Reviewing architectural intent and developing buildable solutions
- Coordinating subcontractor and specialist design inputs to resolve clashes
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations and design standards
- Producing and maintaining design documentation in line with ISO9001
- Leading and attending design meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Supporting project teams with technical expertise throughout the design and construction phases
- Preparing site reports and supporting ongoing design reviews
- Managing multiple live projects and reporting on design progress
About You
We're looking for a mid-level BIM Designer with strong Revit capability and relevant industry experience, comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-led environment. You will ideally have:
- 5+ years' experience in roofing, cladding, or façade design
- Strong working knowledge of Revit and BIM coordination
- Experience in hard metal roofing and/or flat roofing and cladding systems
- Good understanding of construction principles and detailing
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations (including Part B) and NHBC standards
- Experience coordinating multiple design packages and resolving clashes
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and client-facing
- High attention to detail and quality
Desirable:
- Construction/design-related qualification (HNC/HND/Degree)
- Familiarity with document management platforms (e.g. Aconex, 4Projects)
- Membership of a relevant professional body
Key Requirements
- Full-time, office-based role (8:00am – 5:00pm) in Waltham Abbey
- Must hold a full UK driving licence
