An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Sales Manager to join a leading international engineering business supplying process equipment and systems to the process, pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnology sectors. This business specialise in valves, pumps, actuators, motors, drives and MRO Equipment - Bearings, Seals, Alignment, Sensors, etc. This is a newly created role based at the company’s South Wales office, supporting nationwide operations and contributing directly to the growth and development of the UK business.
The Role: As part of the senior management team, you’ll take a hands-on leadership role overseeing a dynamic internal sales team, providing strategic and technical direction, and strengthening collaboration across external sales, operations, and supply chain functions. You’ll play a key role in shaping company strategy, driving commercial performance, and ensuring seamless execution across all customer-facing activities. Your remit will include managing commercial operations, developing supplier relationships, supporting HR and recruitment initiatives, and fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. You’ll also champion digital innovation, CRM adoption, and cross-departmental collaboration to deliver long-term growth and an exceptional customer experience.
Candidate Profile: We’re looking for a proven sales professional with strong commercial awareness and leadership skills, gained within engineering, manufacturing, or technical distribution. You’ll bring:
- Experience managing teams - Sales, Operations or Engineering
- Strong communication, organisational and analytical abilities
- An innovative mindset with a results-driven approach
- Previous experience in manufacturing - Preferably in any of the following - Pumps, Valves, Seals, Actuators, Filtration, Motors, Drives, Automation, etc.
