An established global engineering and manufacturing business is looking to recruit an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join its Manchester operation. This is not a graduate or entry-level position. The business already has a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer in place and now requires someone with sufficient industry experience to work independently, provide practical technical support and help drive improvements across the manufacturing facility.

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Assurance and Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and improving manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs and improve production performance. You will work closely with production, quality, design, procurement and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues and deliver continuous improvement projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, evaluating and improving manufacturing processes
  • Reviewing production workflows and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Designing and implementing process flows and manufacturing layouts
  • Providing hands-on technical support
