Key Account Manager - South East UK Basic to £65,000 Bonus Full Package Can you sell reliability, not just product?

If you're a technical sales professional who's tired of order-taking and wants to actually own a territory - build it, defend it, grow it - this is worth ten minutes of your time.

Our client is a global leader in mechanical seals and rotating equipment reliability solutions, trusted by industrial giants to keep their critical assets running.

They're looking for a Key Account Manager to take charge of an established Southeast patch - and then push it further than it's ever been.

The Challenge

This isn't a maintenance job. You'll be expected to

  • Defend and grow an existing regional customer base - protecting revenue while actively hunting for more (80%)
  • Open new doors. Identify, target, and convert brand-new business and accounts across the region (20%)
  • Hit budget, then beat it
  • Real numbers, real accountability, real reward for real performance
  • Win market share from entrenched competitors - and make this company the preferred name in the region
  • Get technical.
  • Support customers on product selection and troubleshooting, and help them lift their MTBF (mean time between failures)
  • Work autonomously.
  • Travel. This region is yours to cover, overnight stays included when the job demands it
  • What You'll Need to Bring

Non-negotiable

  • A track record of technical sales success - proven, not promised
  • Solid mechanical/technical aptitude - preferably rotating equipment
  • Genuine experience in an external, customer-facing sales role
  • Sharp negotiation and communication skills
  • The resilience and drive to hit challenging targets - and the hunger to want to
  • You live within the region

Nice to have

  • A mechanical engineering degree, technical apprenticeship, or recognised sales training
  • Existing knowledge of the mechanical seal market CRM and ROI-selling experience
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Why This Role

This is a business that backs technical credibility over slick sales patter - you'll be selling solutions that genuinely solve reliability problems for engineers who know their equipment.

You'll get continuous in-house training, real support from a wider UK sales team, and full autonomy to run your patch like it's your own business.

If you're energetic, tenacious, and you genuinely enjoy the chase, we want to hear from you.
