Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Kettering.
The Role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will support the delivery of mechanical building services projects from design coordination through to installation and commissioning. You will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, programme delivery, and quality across projects, with a strong focus on healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Assist with technical submittals and ensure timely approvals
- Support the management of RFIs and technical queries
- Coordinate with design teams, subcontractors, and site teams
- Monitor installation works to ensure compliance with design and standards
- Assist with project scheduling and progress tracking
- Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are delivered to specification
- Contribute to snagging, quality checks, and project close-out
- Ensure materials and equipment are available in line with programme
- Attend site and coordination meetings as required
About You
We are looking for a technically strong and proactive engineer who is looking to develop within a fast-paced project environment.
Essential:
- Experience in a Mechanical Engineer role within building services or construction
- Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework, and mechanical systems
- Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Desirable:
- Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar)
