Mercury Hampton Contract are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to support a major transmission / infrastructure project in Inverness.
π§ The Role:
- Manage and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
- Carry out site quality inspections across civil & electrical works
- Coordinate inspections, hold points, witness points and testing
- Review subcontractor and supplier quality documentation
- Manage NCRs, corrective actions and close-out
- Ensure quality records, test results and handover documentation are completed
- Support audits, client inspections and quality reviews
- Ensure testing & commissioning activities meet approved procedures
- Compile as-built records and quality dossiers for project handover
β Looking for:
- Previous QA/QC experience within transmission, utilities, power or major infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of ITPs and quality management systems
- Experience with NCRs, audits and inspection documentation
- Understanding of civil & electrical installation works
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical standards
- ISO 9001 knowledge
- National Grid, DNO or EPC transmission experience is highly desirable
