About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Quality Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing organisation on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role will play a key part in supporting quality excellence across new and existing projects, ensuring robust processes are in place to manage change and maintain high standards.

Working closely with senior quality leadership, you will contribute to the successful delivery of project milestones, ensuring quality requirements are embedded throughout the product and process lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of quality frameworks aligned to change management best practice
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining systems to coordinate qualification and validation activities
  • Develop and implement procedures based on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) principles
  • Facilitate DFMEA and PFMEA sessions, identifying and escalating risks with appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Support the design and execution of test plans for new and modified processes
  • Monitor and analyse process capability, using statistical methods and representative sampling
  • Contribute to the commissioning of laboratory equipment, including calibration, validation, and measurement system analysis (Gage R&R)
  • Track and report on project quality progress, providing regular updates to key stakeholders
  • Prepare handover documentation and support project gate reviews
  • Work collaboratively with supply chain teams on quality validation for high-risk changes
  • Deliver training on quality tools, methodologies, and best practices across the business

Your Background

  • Degree qualified in a technical, engineering, or quality-related discipline
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a quality engineering or project quality role
  • Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including: FMEA, SPC & Control Charts, Capability Analysis, Gage R&R, 8D problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment
  • Strong risk-based thinking and problem-solving capability

Desirable

  • Chartered Quality Professional (or working towards)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
