Field Service Engineer Location: Telford-based UK travel Salary: £35,000 £43,000 bonus call-out benefits Mercury Hampton is partnering with a well-established industrial engineering business to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join a small, experienced service team. This is a long-term opportunity offering autonomy, stability, and strong technical exposure within industrial environments. The role is open to electrically biased or multi-skilled engineers , with flexibility around seniority depending on experience. The Opportunity This is a stable, well-established engineering business with a strong reputation and long-standing customer relationships. Engineers are trusted to manage their own work and are given the autonomy to get on with the job, without unnecessary micromanagement or red tape. Youll be part of a small, close-knit service team where engineers genuinely support one another and where individual contribution is recognised. The role offers varied, hands-on engineering work across different industrial environments, keeping the work interesting while still providing long-term security. The business places real value on retaining its engineers and investing in them for the long term, rather than treating the role as a short-term fix. The Role: Field-based servicing, maintenance and fault finding on industrial equipment Electrical fault finding with supporting mechanical work Working on motors, control panels, contactors, wiring and associated systems Reactive breakdown support and planned maintenance Customer-facing role representing the business on site Working independently while supported by a close-knit engineering team About You You may be: An electrically biased or multi-skilled engineer Experienced in field service, mobile maintenance or site-based engineering roles Comfortable fault finding and working independently Used to working in industrial, manufacturing, automotive or process environments F-Gas certification is desirable, but not essential.
