Service Engineer Automated Storage Systems

Location: South of England

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £40,000 + Overtime Available

Hours: 8:00am 4:30pm (Door-to-Door Pay)

About the Role

A leading provider of automated vertical storage and retrieval systems is seeking a technically skilled and self-motivated Service Engineer to join its UK field service team. Covering the South of England with occasional travel into London, this role offers autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation technology.

Key Responsibilities

Perform fault finding, servicing, and repairs on vertical lift and carousel systems

Install and commission new equipment at customer sites

Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts, ensuring fast and effective resolution

Manage your own diary and work from a monthly service list

Provide technical support and training to customers

Maintain accurate service documentation and reports

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service delivery

Essential Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

Strong experience in electrical fault finding, particularly with:

Motors, drives, converters, control panels

Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings

General understanding of mechanical systems (training provided)

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the South and into London

Excellent communication and time management skills
