If you’re a hands-on Service Engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with smart technology, and supporting customers, this could be the next step for you. You’ll be joining a growing company that supplies some of the most advanced automated storage systems on the market, including high-performance Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs), vertical carousels, mobile shelving, pallet-handling solutions, and software that integrates with today’s biggest WMS and ERP platforms. As the exclusive UK distributor for innovative European-built equipment, you can expect first-class training, modern tech, and opportunities to build your expertise.
This business has a reputation for exceptional customer service and end-to-end project delivery from consultancy and installation to long-term support, with customers in automotive, defence, pharmaceuticals, and other major sectors where reliability and precision matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
Once the installation team has handed over the equipment, you’ll step in as the key point of support for ongoing service and maintenance. Your day will mostly consist of planned service work rather than constant reactive callouts.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Electromechanical servicing and maintenance of equipment such as automated storage, vertical carousels, mobile shelving, and pallet-handling systems
- Providing on-site support to customers - resolving issues, making systems safe, and keeping everything running smoothly
- Helping customers understand how to get the best out of their equipment
- Highlighting useful upgrades or new features where appropriate
What You’ll Bring
- Experience as a Service or Maintenance Engineer
- A solid electromechanical background
- Electrical understanding - fault finding, 3-phase, voltages, wiring, PLCs, motors, drives etc.
- Mechanical skills - e.g. replacing drive systems, bearings, seals, conveyors, automated equipment etc.
- Experience in logistics, automation, automated storage, pallet handling, FMCG, manufacturing or similar industries is desirable
This is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and working with modern technology - with the bonus of specialist European training and a realistic OTE above £50k.
