A British manufacturer and global company in mechanical engineering components is seeking a sales professional with a mechanical engineering background to manage the Yorkshire region. This role involves:

  • Account Management (70%)
  • New Client Acquisition (30%)

The successful candidate will report directly to the UK Sales Manager and will be responsible for business activities throughout the region, which includes diverse industrial processes and manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical solution selling
  • Regular customer visits
  • Reporting all sales and quotation activity monthly

Requirements:

  • External sales experience from an associated sector (e.g., mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, valves)
  • Strong mechanical engineering aptitude or qualification (engineering apprenticeship or degree)
  • Full knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical seals
  • Exceptional relationship management and business development skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven track record in business-to-business sales
  • Dynamic attitude and enthusiasm for sales

An engineering qualification is advantageous but not essential. Extensive product training will be provided. The position offers a basic salary of £48,000 to £60,000, with realistic earnings of £70,000 including bonuses.
