Job Purpose
Join a market leading component manufacturer, supplying critical components into Water, Wastewater, Oil & Gas, and Fire Protection. Carry out plating operations with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality output and timely delivery of fabricated fittings. While fabrication and welding tasks may be required, the core focus of this role is plating.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform plating operations to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality across all components
* Support customer delivery targets by maintaining timely completion of plated fittings in line with service offers
* Maintain excellent product quality throughout all plating and fabrication processes
* Read and interpret technical drawings to understand plating and fabrication requirements
Assist with fabrication tasks including:
* MIG weld tacking, seam welding, and grinding (as needed)
* Rolling of flat bar and T bar
* Operating guillotine and auto-feed saw
* Using punch press and radial arm drill
* Work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues
* Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a plating role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment
* Familiarity with fabrication and welding techniques
* Ability to read and work from technical drawings
* Competence in operating metalworking machinery
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
