Responsibilities
- Respond to customer enquiries via phone, email, and CRM systems, providing technical advice and product recommendations.
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, as per our quotation and triage process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Liaise with production, and logistics teams to confirm product specifications, lead times, and availability.
- Support the external sales team with technical documentation, pricing strategies, and customer insights.
- Follow up quotations to customers, in agreement on the approach with the respective sales person, as per our defined quote follow up process.
- Maintain and update customer records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling, and increasing customers spend, based on customer needs.
- Supporting distributor growth and requirements.
- Work with the Internal Sales Team to ensure workloads are maintained. You will be allocated a territory to work within, however, during busy periods you will be expected to support your colleagues in other territories should they need support.
- Assist in resolving customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay up to date with product developments, industry trends, and competitor activity.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering – Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or related field.
- A minimum 4-5 years experience in technical sales, customer support or aftercare.
- Understanding of engineering principles and the ability to interpret technical specifications
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow within a business long-term
