Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trade Support Analyst to join our dynamic Metals team in London. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate and timely reflection of contractual and operational trade details, working closely with internal departments (e.g. Traders, Operations, Middle Office, Contracts, IT) to support the full lifecycle of physical commodity transactions.


Key Responsibilities


Trade Support:

  1. Accurately reconcile contractual obligations in the trading system based on business confirmations and deal recaps
  2. Coordinate with the Contracts and Middle Office Departments to address any discrepancies, required corrections, or trade amendments


System Updates:

  1. Act as the key interface between Operations and Middle Office to ensure timely and precise updates in the trading system, including:
  • Provisional and final assay results (physical specifications)
  • Delivery schedules and narrowed physical offtake windows
  • Execution and system capture of storage and transportation agreements
  • Updates to physical volumes, aligned with contractual terms and delivery schedules


Amendment Validation

  1. Ensure accurate system reflection of operational and contractual amendments as agreed with counterparties
  2. Validate the application of triggered pricing events in close coordination with the pricing desk


Technical Qualifications

  • Holder of a University Degree in Business, Law, Accounting or related
  • 1-2 years’ experience (internships included) in commodity trading operations, middle office or trade support is highly desirable
  • Experience with commodities such as metals, minerals, concentrates is a major advantage
  • Understanding and familiarity with trading systems, contract lifecycle management and payment terms and pricing is a plus
