Position Purpose:
This role sits within EMEA Financial Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reconciliation and settlement of brokerage fees for a variety of desks across a wide range of products, the settlement of FX trading transactions, Interest Rate Swaps, and other products. The role offers opportunities to enhance processes, contribute to projects, and gain cross-functional exposure to other settlement functions in the commodities space, as time permits, including Power, Gas, LNG, Environmental Products, Uranium, Oil Derivatives.
Job Description:
- Reconcile trades between broker invoice statements and internal systems
- Timely processing of broker fee settlements in a monthly cycle
- Communicate effectively with brokers
- Build good relationship with internal stakeholders, including Middle Office, Traders, Accounting, Controllers, IT, and other Operations units
- Handle the daily FX trade settlements
- Manage the invoicing of Interest Rates Swaps and Asset Loans
- Potentially other settlements responsibilities as the business necessitates
- Provide regular updates to management
- Analyse and improve existing processes and procedures
- Proactively identify and lead process enhancements
- Opportunity to cross-train in commodity settlements
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in handling and analysing large datasets
- Demonstrates ownership and commitment to seeing issues through to resolution
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, particularly in commodities
- Awareness of operational risk and best practices in risk mitigation
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general systems (experience with ICTS or other CTRM systems is an advantage
- Prior experience in settlements is strongly preferred
