We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Freight Business Analyst – IT with 3–5 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should have a solid foundation in risk management within the freight or maritime sector, along with experience in business analysis and IT systems. Familiarity with IMOS (Integrated Maritime Operations System) is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and workflows related to freight operations and IT systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into functional specifications and IT solutions.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of freight and risk management systems.
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation strategies across trading and logistics functions.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment of technology solutions with business goals.
- Prepare documentation, reports, training materials, and support end-user training as needed.
- Assist in data analysis and the development of dashboards or reports for operational insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in the freight, shipping, or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of Risk Management practices relevant to maritime and freight trading.
- Hands-on experience working with IT systems, business process modeling, and functional documentation.
- IMOS (Veson Nautical) experience is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively across teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Understanding of chartering, voyage management, and maritime commercial operations.
- Experience with data tools like Excel, Power BI, or SQL.
- Familiarity with Agile or Waterfall methodologies in project environments.
