Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for securing all hotel properties, staff and guests in accordance with the procedures laid down in the security manual.
  • Observes guests and others, patrols lobbies, corridors, back of the house areas, public rooms and surroundings to detect infringement or suspicious persons courteously.
  • Keeps a watchful eye on luggage and other belongings left unattended.
  • Conducts investigations and keeps superiors informed on accidents involving disturbance, accidents, losses, thefts, etc. occurring in the hotel during their tour of duty.
  • Accompanies Duty Manager in investigating irregularities in guest rooms and public areas when requested.
  • Records details of significant incidents and activities in the logbook during shifts.
  • May be assigned to coordinate with local authorities in investigating and handling crimes, accidents, etc. involving the hotel, its staff or guests.
  • Ensures that the Security Check-Point is manned.
  • Checks all the books, files, security passes, Singapore Identity cards, Work Permits, all the keys in the Key Press, all the equipment in the Security Office, etc.
  • Patrols the guest floors and ensures all guest rooms are checked.
  • Advises all guests with door ajar and reports.
  • Ensures all offices are locked after office hours.
  • Ensures all Lost and Found properties are recorded in the Occurrence Log in the system, handed over to the Housekeeping Department as soon as possible and keeps the Duty Manager informed. All valuable items must be handed over to the Safety & Security Manager for safekeeping until a claim is made.
  • Performs Bank Escort with Finance Cashier.
  • Be familiar with the Fire Emergency Plan and a member of the Fire Fighting Team (FFT).
  • Renders first aid to sick and injured persons.

Job Requirements

  • Compressed work week with 4 working days from 12 hours per day.
  • Security Licence is required.
  • Able to work on weekends and Public Holidays.
