Job Description: The hotel maintenance assistant handles a variety of tasks to ensure the hotel operates smoothly and guests stay comfortable. They maintain the physical condition of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities, performing both preventative maintenance and responding to maintenance requests.
- General Maintenance: perform routine checks and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC and carpentry equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: schedule cleaning of air conditioning units, check heating systems and test fire safety equipment.
- Guest Room Maintenance: address guest requests for in‑room repairs such as faulty televisions, showers or heating/cooling systems.
- Safety and Compliance: ensure the hotel meets health and safety regulations, maintain logs and report issues.
- Collaboration: work with other hotel departments, like housekeeping, to quickly resolve issues and uphold a high standard of service.
