Mercure & ibis London Earls Court and Barnaby’s Restaurant & Bar provide guests with a warm welcome, spacious and comfortable accommodation with breath-taking views of the London skyline. The hotel is currently in refurbishment with the aim to shift to a four-star hotel and new branding. The project seeks candidates to help evolve into a modern, stylish and innovative 12-storey hotel delivering a dual-branding experience with a combination of 3* and 4* product. Responsibilities
- Surveying sites where electrical systems are installed
- Installing, maintaining, modifying and repairing all electrical systems in public spaces and buildings
- Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards and regulations
- Supervising ongoing electrical system installations and providing technical expertise to installation teams where needed
- Identifying electrical problems and repairing them
- Advising the company’s management when to replace aged electrical equipment to prevent hazards
- Conducting general electrical systems maintenance and troubleshooting electrical issues with testing equipment
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
- Perform general electrical maintenance
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures
- Circuit breaker corrective maintenance
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems
- Good knowledge of various test equipment
- Experience working as an electrician
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair knowledge
- Experience in renewable energy field
Qualifications
- One main trade qualification (or time served trades experience) e.g. NVQ 2, NVQ 3
- Experience in testing, inspection, and maintenance of electrical installations
- An appropriate knowledge of health and safety legislation
- Have current Health & Safety Training certificates (including, but not limited to, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height, Manual Handling, Risk Assessments)
- Extensive domestic electrical experience (preferably from a social housing environment)
- Demonstrate a high level of customer care
- Up-to-date electrician’s licence
- 2-3 years residential, commercial or industrial electrical experience
- Experience with new builds, renovations and historical restoration projects
- Associate’s degree in electrical technology preferred
- High school diploma or GCSE
