Stamford Bridge Hotel is seeking a Hotel Accountant to play a key role in managing the financial relationship between the Management Company Finance, the Hotel General Manager, and the Hotel Departments.

You will report to the Hotel General Manager (HGM), supporting the Hotel General Manager and Management Company Finance team in all aspects of property accounting, ensuring timely and accurate submissions of information, and helping to uphold high standards of internal control and compliance.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Purchase ledger coordination with outsource providers and suppliers to ensure queries are resolved.
  2. Ensuring all Accounts Receivable invoicing is issued on a timely basis, working with the Hotel Accounts Assistant.
  3. Supporting reconciliation of accounts including cash, credit card, and BACS to the PMS system.
  4. Providing month-end deliverables such as journals, accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  5. Loading monthly results into the Chelsea FC finance system and reporting systems.
  6. Assisting stakeholders with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results.
  7. Posting and reconciling inter-company recharges.
  8. Monitoring Capex spend against budgets.
  9. Supporting VAT liability calculations and audits.
  10. Conducting daily checks of night audit packs for discrepancies.
  11. Managing the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts for the hotel.

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the hotel sector.
  • Studying for or completed an accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of hotel property management systems (desirable).
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
