Position: Sports Annotation & Analysis Expert
Type: Independent contractor
Compensation: $40–$45/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Review and refine AI-generated captions and event annotations for various sports videos.
- Identify and validate actions, transitions, and sequences relevant to each sport, including playmaking and scoring attempts.
- Assess timing accuracy and contextual descriptions within recorded clips.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI recognition of real-world sporting activity.
- Collaborate asynchronously with a research team to refine annotation standards.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Deep familiarity with at least one of the listed sports through playing, coaching, officiating, training, or sports analysis.
- Demonstrated understanding of game rules, athlete movement, and event terminology.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to describe sports events precisely and objectively.
- Comfortable working independently on remote annotation platforms.
Preferred
- Prior recognition, certifications, or awards in the relevant sport.
- Familiarity with data annotation or prior experience in AI annotation work.
