About The Job

Position: Film and Video Editor
Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $60–$95/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 weeks
Commitment: 20–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Write tasks and scenarios reflecting real-world film and video editing based on professional experience.
- Create realistic situations involving footage review, shot selection, timeline assembly, pacing decisions, color correction, audio mixing, and workflow management.
- Develop scenarios for cutting narrative sequences, managing media libraries, working with different file formats, collaborating with directors and producers, meeting tight deadlines, handling technical issues, and delivering final exports.
- Review and evaluate AI responses to film and video editing queries for accuracy and professional standards.
- Provide detailed feedback on film and video editing scenarios to improve AI training.
Qualifications
- 4+ years professional experience as a film editor, video editor, post-production editor, or assistant editor in media/entertainment organizations.
- Proven professional recognition and management responsibilities.
- Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems.
- Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills.
- Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz.
Preferred
14 years experience preferred.
Start Date

Compensation & Legal
