Position: Artifact Expert — Software Engineering

Type: Contract

Compensation: $80–$120/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Review existing engineering slides, design docs, and sheets. Provide detailed, constructive feedback.
  • Create original technical artifacts such as architecture decks, RFCs, post-mortems, and data analyses.
  • Annotate and commentate on artifacts to improve structure, content, and presentation.
  • Apply software-engineering expertise to ensure artifacts reflect realistic, high-quality professional output.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to deliver consistent, high-quality work on a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

  • Must-Have 4+ years of professional experience as a software engineer (backend, full-stack, ML, infrastructure, mobile, or similar).
  • Comfortable producing technical writing and technical slide decks.
  • Strong attention to detail and written communication.
  • Self-directed; can deliver consistent, high-quality work on a flexible schedule.
