Position: Audit Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $60–$85/hour

Role Responsibilities
- Develop long-horizon audit tasks with deterministic rubrics to evaluate agent performance against verifiable ground truth.
- Create scenarios for Planning: risk assessments with documented ratings and audit programs mapped to assertions.
- Design Execution tasks: control testing with known populations and confirmations against a ground-truth response set.
- Conduct Wrap-up activities: workpaper reviews with pre-identified defects and deficiency memos with required fields.
- Work independently and asynchronously to produce challenging scenarios requiring long sessions of focus.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 2+ years in external audit (Big 4 or national firm) or internal audit at a public company.
- Comfortable with audit artifacts: workpapers, walkthroughs, test matrices, deficiency write-ups.
- Clear written communication; ability to articulate reasoning and encode it into deterministic rubrics.
Preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Expertise in SOX ITGCs, substantive analytics, sampling methodology, revenue or inventory cycles, or specific audit software (Aura, Clara, Canvas, TeamMate, AuditBoard).
