Mercor is recruiting UK-based Business Operations & Compliance Experts for a research project with a leading frontier AI lab. We are seeking experienced operators with 5+ years in business operations, internal controls, advertising or marketing operations, risk, or compliance program management.

Strong candidates can take regulatory requirements and internal policies and turn them into clear checklists, approval steps, examples, training, and recurring controls. Ideal candidates have experience at one or more of the following types of business:

  • Media or publishing
  • Advertising agencies
  • Live events
  • Consumer subscription businesses
  • Regulated marketing or finance operations
  • Or another business with a substantial commercial compliance function

Ideal candidates have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Translating regulations and internal policy into practical checklists and approval steps
  • Compliance training design and delivery
  • Recurring controls and control documentation
  • RACI definition, data checks, and approval workflows
  • Monthly operating review calendars, agendas, and templates
  • Facilitating sessions, assigning owners, and tracking follow-ups

You’ll help create, review, and evaluate high-quality business operations and compliance scenarios, leveraging your experience in internal controls, compliance programs, and operating cadence. Strong candidates explain requirements in plain language, surface confusion, know when to elevate a legal question rather than improvising an answer, and stay detail-oriented without becoming bureaucratic.

Here are more details about the role:

  • You will be contributing high-quality training data for frontier AI systems
  • This is a full-time engagement running from 10 August 2026 to 4 September 2026
  • The project team collaborates on a UK business-hours rhythm, with live team sessions each working day and occasional evening messages
  • The project pays two weeks of garden leave at the end of the engagement, with a one month non-compete running concurrently
  • Successful contributions increase the likelihood of being selected for future Mercor projects

The vetting process involves:

  • Resume and work history screen
  • Short interview evaluating business operations and compliance expertise

Please note: Candidates must be based in the United Kingdom and have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
