Position: Biology PhD
Type: Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–20 hours/week
Base pay range: $90 – $110 per hour

About the Job

We are seeking a qualified biological science researcher to collaborate with a team of experts in Biology. As a contractor you will work remotely to support AI labs, review and curate data, and craft solutions to complex biological problems. Your contributions will directly impact real-world AI applications.

Role Responsibilities

• Collaborate asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts in Biology.
• Craft, solve, and review challenging problems with real-world applicability.
• Review and curate data on various projects with AI labs.
• Work independently to support researchers with additional tasks.
• Ensure high-quality outputs through detailed evaluation and feedback.

Qualifications

• Master\’s or PhD in Biology from a top U.S. university.
• Outstanding set of publications or professional experience.
• High attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent proficiency in English.
• Based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, U.K., or Australia.

Start Date

• November (applications reviewed on a rolling basis).

Interview Process

• Complete a short interview to assess domain expertise.
• Complete a short interview with a Mercor team member.

Compensation & Legal

• Legally classified as an hourly contractor for Mercor.
• Paid out at the end of each week via Stripe Connect.
