Position: AI Tutor – Space Science Specialist
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $90,000–$200,000/year
Location: Remote
Commitment: 9:00 am–5:30 pm PST for the first two weeks, then 9:00 am–5:30 pm in your local timezone
Role Responsibilities
- Annotate and label scientific data using proprietary software to enhance AI model performance.
- Deliver high-quality, curated data consistently to strengthen AI model outputs.
- Collaborate with technical teams to refine annotation workflows and tools for efficiency.
- Select and solve problems from space science disciplines, evaluating model responses for accuracy.
- Evaluate AI-generated reasoning and provide evidence-based feedback to improve accuracy.
- Engage with evolving research objectives to develop new AI capabilities in physics and space science.
Qualifications – Must-Have
- Master’s or Ph.D. in astrophysics, astronomy, physics, or related field.
- Expertise in space sciences such as galactic astronomy, cosmology, or planetary science.
- Excellent command of English, written and verbal.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications – Preferred
- Ph.D. in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics with publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
- Proven research experience with first‑author papers in relevant areas.
- Teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience at the university level.
- Experience in technical writing or academic publishing.
- Previous experience in AI training or data evaluation projects.
Compensation & Legal
- Competitive pay ranging from $90,000 to $200,000 annually for U.S.-based professionals.
- Medical benefits vary by country; coverage may depend on location.
- U.S.-based applicants must reside outside of Wyoming and Illinois.
- Visa sponsorship is not available.
