Urgent Care Practitioners – Gainsborough UTC
Merco Medical is actively seeking experienced locum Advanced Practitioners (ACPs, ECPs, ENPs, ANPs or Paramedics) to support a busy Urgent Treatment Centre in Gainsborough. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, treating patients of all ages with a wide range of minor illnesses and injuries.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality, autonomous clinical care to walk-in patients
- Managing and treating a variety of minor injuries and illnesses across all age groups
- Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team
- Conducting assessments, diagnostics, prescribing (if qualified), and making onward referrals where appropriate
Essential Requirements:
- Valid NMC or HCPC Registration
- Minor Illness and/or Minor Injury Qualification (Or extensive experience with both)
- Previous experience in Urgent or Emergency Care
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently
- Confidence in managing undifferentiated presentations in a dynamic setting
Desirable:
- Independent Prescriber (V300)
Shift Patterns:
The Urgent Treatment Centre operates 7 days per week, offering flexible shifts including:
- Mornings
- Afternoons
- Long days
Pay Rates (Inside IR35):
- Band 7: Up to £51.50 per hour (Umbrella)
- Band 8: Up to £56.00 per hour (Umbrella)
