Your Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Livingston Microbiology team on a 12-Month fixed term contract. As a QC Microbiology Analyst, you will help to set the standard for contamination control with hands-on testing, training and best practices within a highly regulated manufacturing environment - crucial within our Life Science business.

As a QC Microbiology Analyst your duties will include:

  • Lot release testing within a dedicated cleanroom test suite (Bioburden, Total Viable Count).
  • Bioburden and quality analysis of facility water systems.
  • Acceptance testing of raw materials (Growth Promotion, Identification).
  • Environmental monitoring, microbial identification and trend analysis of environmental monitoring data.
  • Investigation of EM excursions/ OOS results via participation in site Quality Management Systems (deviation investigations/ change control, process improvements etc).
  • Setting the standard for contamination control, including delivering practical gowning, hygiene and cleanroom awareness training to staff facility-wide.

This role is based within a highly regulated GxP manufacturing facility where product quality is assured via test specifications and procedures. As a member of Quality Control, you will work within a small team to ensure product quality is achieved and maintained.

Who You Are:

  • BSc or above in Microbiology or life science discipline. Equivalent further education OR cGxP work experience considered.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and IT literacy essential.
  • Ability to prioritise work independently and as a team, to adapt to changes where required to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Quality focused, motivated self-starter - prepared to Act as the Owner and keen to develop.

Desirable:

  • Experience in aseptic practice/ working within cleanrooms/ environmental monitoring/ microbiological techniques.
  • Previous experience working in a cGxP environment desirable.
