Our colleagues across the globe love innovating with science and technology to enrich people’s lives with our solutions in Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics. As our Logistics & Supply Chain Specialist you will report to the Supply Chain function of a leading Life science company.
Performing and leading initiatives within the Supply Chain function, including managing HMRC obligations, optimizing export/import discussions with external clients, and safeguarding the integrity of sensitive material shipments. You’ll own the performance, development and enhancement of tracking and reporting mechanisms for this function, and apply data-driven improvements to increase operational excellence across our logistics commitments.
Track and review logistics/courier charge accounts to ensure accurate costings, negotiating vendor rates, and timely payments. Work with site planning and procurement team on managing and mitigating risk from suppliers covering areas such as inbound logistics, supplier terms and agreements etc.
Provide authoritative advisement to client project managers and external customers on import/export terms, guidance, and risk mitigation. Coordinate with global sites to execute effective export and import logistics, working closely with the Logistics expert/Material Handlers to ensure operational logistics needs are being met.
Champion cross-functional projects from scoping through to execution, delivering on time and in full. Proven experience in a customs or logistics clearance related role with working knowledge of CPC, Material Origins, VAT/Duty/Deferments, HS Codes and incoterms.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects or initiatives within a logistics/supply chain context, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management. Experience in coordinating and collaborating with diverse teams (planning, procurement, operations, external partners) to achieve common goals. Degree or recognised qualification/training in a relevant discipline.
