We have an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse Operative to join our team in Gillingham, Dorset. As a key member of our Life Science distribution center, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play an instrumental role in the logistics and operations of our facility.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods to designated storage locations.
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and correct labeling.
- Conducting inventory records and stock checks using the Warehouse Management System (e.g., SAP).
- Following all site‑specific operations and safety protocols, including the handling and storage of hazardous or temperature‑sensitive materials.
Who You Are:
- A collaborative team player, committed to supporting the team and working effectively together.
- Competent or ready to be trained in the use of pallet trucks, powered pallet trucks, and pallet lifters.
- Learning agility and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- A good work ethic, demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
- Familiarity with computerized stock control systems is an advantage but not essential.
- Experience with forklift or reach truck operation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Physical capability to lift up to 15 kg when needed and work on your feet for most of the shift.
