An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Science Expert (MSE) in Oncology, located in the South of England or Wales. As a Medical Science Expert (similar to a Medical Science Liaison), you will act as a scientific and medical authority, forming partnerships both internally and externally.

You will interact with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in coordination with the Therapeutic Area Specialist (TAS), who serves as the primary point of contact for HCPs regarding commercialised products. You will collaborate closely with the TAS to coordinate engagement with HCPs, sharing outcomes of meetings while respecting compliance boundaries regarding what cannot be shared (e.g., off-label and pipeline discussions). In specified cases, you will hold the Primary Point of Contact role, primarily during the pre-launch phase of the product lifecycle for non-promotional activities.

Your responsibilities will include independently handling core medical activities, such as responding to medical and scientific information requests, providing pipeline information, and managing early access or compassionate use programs. You will also support clinical trial activities in alignment with Clinical Operations/ICSO and engage with external customers according to their preferences, whether face-to-face, virtual, email, or webinars.

Who you are:

  • A GMC-registered medical practitioner or GPHC-registered pharmacist in the UK, qualifying you as a potential ABPI final signatory.
  • Desired oncology experience and experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Capable of managing core medical activities and engaging effectively with HCPs.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams while adhering to compliance regulations.
  • Experienced in handling scientific and medical inquiries.
