Your Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Manufacturing Scientist to join our Protein Purification department in Livingston. In this role you will contribute to the day‑to‑day operation of the Protein Purification department by ensuring the production schedule is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards, while supporting team collaboration and reliable delivery.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Carry out protein purification and upstream/downstream processing to support manufacturing schedules.
- Execute daily manufacturing duties: equipment prep, setup, cleaning, and housekeeping to maintain safety, compliance, and efficiency.
- Ensure procedures comply with the Livingston Quality Management System and document operations contemporaneously.
- Analyze manufacturing output trend data and prepare reports for operational review and decision‑making.
- Maintain and troubleshoot purification equipment and accessories per the maintenance schedule.
- Prepare purification equipment, accessories, and buffers accurately and in a timely manner.
- Contribute to site Quality Management System documentation; assist in reviews and obtain approvals from line management.
- Support deviation investigations within the QMS, aiding root cause analysis and timely resolution; weekend coverage may be required.
Who You Are
- BSc or above in a relevant Scientific subject.
- Experience with purification techniques.
- Previous relevant work experience is desirable but not required.
- Self‑motivated, able to manage your own time whilst working to deadlines.
