Your Role
An excellent opportunity has become available for a Purchasing Specialist to join the team in Irvine. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will support the site to ensure availability of raw materials on‑time and on‑quality to ensure production schedules can be met.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise and manage purchase orders.
- Ensure on‑time delivery of materials.
- Manage SAP exceptions.
- Provide availability updates to other departments.
- Maintain master data within SAP.
- Resolve RFA tickets and support with supplier complaints.
Who You Are
- Previous experience (ideally 3+ years) within purchasing of direct materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and collaboratively.
- Effective communication skills across different modes and styles.
Desirable
- Experience working within a cGMP or regulated environment.
- Knowledge/experience working with SAP.
- Purchasing or supply chain certification.
- Degree in scientific discipline, supply chain management, or business administration.
