Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our Molecular Biology team in Glasgow on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role will be working on a condensed hours 4 day working week and will include working 1 in 8 weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and custom GLP/GMP studies in support of ongoing studies.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, equipment maintenance, and stock control to ensure smooth laboratory operations.
- Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory processes.
Who You Are
- Educated to HND or above in a relevant biological science, experience with qPCR testing is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritise own workload and work within a fast-paced environment, with a strong problem-solving ability.
- Must be self-motivated, with high levels of initiative, facing challenges with energy, drive and the need to finish, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
- Demonstrate strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise effectively, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate, ideally with prior knowledge of working with LIMS.
