Your Role
We have an exciting new role for an Environmental Sustainability Project Manager to join us on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. In this role you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of our company’s groundbreaking product recycling strategy for customers, implementing new life science product recycling programs. You will be responsible for collaborating across industry partners to build a circular solution for single‑use plastic in the life science industry. The projects require diverse thinking, with the ability to inspire change in the status quo of plastics recycling while navigating the regulatory landscape within the EU. You will work remotely and travel mostly around Cambridge, Oxford & London areas (10‑20% of the time) and work directly with customers and internal teams to develop programs that solve the complexity of plastics recycling across multiple countries. An emphasis will be placed on ensuring that developed programs utilize your analytical skills in Life Cycle Assessment and circular economy analysis to create a measurable impact and will contribute to decreasing waste for our customers.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in life science, waste management, business, environmental sciences, or related discipline.
- Previous experience within circular economy, sustainability, packaging, supply chain/procurement, recycling or related sectors.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills and ability to evaluate complex, often ambiguous, multi‑stakeholder challenges.
- Ability to work independently and can take both initiative and direction.
Desirable
- Project management/delivery experience within recycling.
- Experience with plastics/polymers.
