Your Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Scientist 1 to join our Manufacturing department on a 1-year Fixed Term Contract. You will be responsible for a wide variety of routine tasks to support manufacture of client product, such as cell and virus banks, in a GMP compliant production facility. Responsibilities will include working within the manufacturing facility following Standard Operating Procedures to ensure routine production campaigns run efficiently and documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with appropriate scientific and GMP regulatory standards. Responsibilities also include aseptic manipulation of customer product, general housekeeping of laboratories areas, stock control and equipment maintenance. You will maintain effective working relationships with support services, scientists and laboratory personnel will be crucial for success in this role.
Who You Are
- It would be ideal to have knowledge / experience in cell culture or previous experience in clean-rooms
- Ability to prioritise your own workload and work within a fast-paced environment, with problem-solving ability
- Must be self-motivated, with high levels of initiative, facing challenges with energy, drive and the need to finish, with a strong focus on quality and safety
- Demonstrate strong planning and team work skills and the ability to prioritise effectively and communicate well
- Computer literate
