Job Description

12-Month Clinical Research Student Placement offering hands‑on experience in clinical trial coordination, study management, regulatory processes, and site-facing clinical research activities.

As part of the Clinical Research team, you will work as trainee Clinical Trial Co‑Ordinator. Providing office‑based support to the teams that work on our company clinical programs in the UK. The opportunity to conduct field visits at trial sites based in the UK under supervision Throughout your twelve months here, you will be given the opportunity to gain a full insight into the principles and practices of a Clinical Research Department within a global company. Working in a professional and friendly environment, you will support the members of our study teams, whilst developing your knowledge and practical skills in setting up and conducting clinical trials. Experiences will include field visits to our trial sites and training on our clinical management systems and processes.

This role will be based in our modern state‑of‑the‑art co‑working facilities in Moorgate, London. This site, at the heart of London provides fantastic amenities, support services and collaborative workspaces with convenient transport links.

Responsibilities

  • Support study teams in the day‑to‑day coordination and delivery of clinical trials across a range of activities.
  • Assist with the preparation, maintenance, and management of study documentation to support regulatory and ethics submissions.
  • Support budgeting and financial tracking activities throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.
  • Gain exposure to clinical trial sites by participating in on‑site monitoring activities alongside experienced clinical research professionals.
  • Contribute to departmental initiatives, meetings, and events while building knowledge of clinical research processes and best practices.
  • Develop an understanding of clinical trial systems, regulations, and operational activities through structured training and practical experience.

Requirements

  • You must be currently studying at a UK university and will be looking to complete a 12‑month student internship as part of your undergraduate degree.
  • Studying towards a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related life sciences discipline.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrates an appreciation of current topics in clinical research and clinical trial conduct
