Your Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Warehouse Operative with forklift truck driving experience to join our team in Irvine. Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a vital part in the overall logistics and operation of the warehouse. You will be responsible for the receipt, processing, storage and distribution of raw materials and finished goods whilst adhering to strict compliance with all appropriate regulatory standards. Following a training period on day shift this role will be required to work on a shift pattern either working back shift (1pm-9pm Monday to Friday) or a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights & 4 off working 7-7).
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate counterbalance and/or reach forklift trucks to load, unload, and move materials.
- Receive, inspect and store incoming chemical goods in compliance with company and regulatory procedures.
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and proper labelling.
- Maintain inventory records and perform regular stock checks using warehouse management systems.
- Follow all site-specific safety protocols including handling of hazardous materials (e.g. COSHH requirements).
- Ensure all containers are correctly sealed, labelled and stored.
- Conduct routine housekeeping to keep warehouse areas clean and hazard-free.
Who You Are:
- Previous experience working within a Warehouse environment is essential.
- Prior experience operatinga Counterbalance or Reach forklift truck is essential, refresher courses can be provided for lapsed tickets.
- A current UK Drivers Licence isessential.
- Experience working within a cGMP environment would be desirable.
- Experience working with a computerised stock control system and a working knowledge of SAP would be desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
