An excellent opportunity has become available for a Purchasing Specialist to join the team in Irvine. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will support the site to ensure availability of raw materials on-time and on-quality to ensure production schedules can be met.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Raise and manage purchase orders.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of materials.
  • Manage SAP exceptions.
  • Provide availability updates to other departments.
  • Maintain master data within SAP.
  • Resolve RFA tickets and support with supplier complaints.

Who You Are:

  • Previous experience (ideally 3+ years) within purchasing of direct materials.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and collaboratively.
  • Effective communication skills across different modes and styles.

Desirable:

  • Experience working within a cGMP or regulated environment.
  • Knowledge/experience working with SAP.
  • Purchasing or supply chain certification.
  • Degree in scientific discipline, supply chain management, or business administration.
