Your Role:
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Account Manager to join our Life Science, Science & Lab Solutions Commercial team, responsible for a defined portfolio of Customers in the Industrial and Testing Market segment in the North & Midlands area of the UK covering from North Yorkshire down to Worcestershire. You will be at the forefront of our business, driving the growth and success of our life science products and services. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations exceeded. By fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional results, you will contribute to our vision of partnering with customers to focus on accelerating science.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned Customer portfolio, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets and ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a defined set of customers, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
- Product and Service Advocacy: Promote our products and services, providing expert knowledge and insights to customers to help them make informed purchasing decisions.
- Account Planning and Strategy: Develop and execute strategic account plans, including regular reviews and updates to ensure alignment with customer objectives and company goals.
- Market and Industry Awareness: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes that may impact customers and the life science market. Collaborate with marketing teams to feed back important information.
Who you are:
- Educational Background: Bachelor\βs degree or above in chemistry, biochemistry, biology or a related Science field.
- Experience: 4+ years of account management or sales experience in the life science industry, ideally working with a large/diverse product portfolio.
- Knowledge: Advanced understanding of the life science sector, including key market players, trends, and regulatory environment.
- Travel: Ability and willingness to travel within territory by car min. 60% of time; driving license required. This territory covers North Yorkshire down to Worcestershire and the successful candidate will need to be located within the territory.
