This role can be done in hybrid working model, 3 days from the office in Feltham, 2 days remote.
In your role as the Head of Biosample and Bioanalytical Operations, you will lead a talented global team of experts and managers to define how we handle clinical samples across the globe. You are the strategic heart of our biosample lifecycle, overseeing everything from collection and logistics to high-tech storage and analysis. You'll drive the operational strategy across multiple therapeutic areas, ensuring our processes are high-quality, cost-effective, and always ahead of regulatory standards. By managing external partnerships and leading enterprise-wide initiatives, you directly impact our ability to deliver life-changing medicines to patients. Who you are
- Advanced scientific degree (PhD preferred or MSc) in Biology, Pharmacy, or a related Medical Science discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in clinical drug development (Pharma, Biotech, or CRO) specifically focused on biosample operations and biobanking.
- At least 3 years of proven leadership experience managing and developing global teams within a matrix organization.
- Expert knowledge of GCP, GLP, and GCLP guidelines and international regulations governing clinical biosamples across various trial phases.
- Proficiency with industry-standard technologies, including LIMS, CTMS, and advanced bioinventory management systems.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to set operational priorities and drive performance improvements in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Strong vendor management skills, with a track record of overseeing external service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal), with the flexibility to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
