The predicted salary is between 15600 - 23400 £ per year.
The candidate should be comfortable managing a team of up to 15 crew members of removal foremen, drivers and porters, monitoring their performance and enforcing the companies disciplinary processes. The candidate will work with other managers and company directors to construct a well disciplined and capable team, through monitoring, training and recruitment.
Day to day duties will include assistance in the following tasks:
Open Offices & Yard at 5.30am until 8.30am Monday – Friday (15 hours PW)
Monitor time keeping and make sure the staff are clocking in and out correctly
Inspect quality of wrapped / packed jobs as they are unloaded
Checking vans are loaded with correct materials and tools for the days jobs
Inspecting vehicles, ensuring they are clean and there is no new damage etc
Create files for employees on performance
Holding disciplinary meetings and issuing warnings
Help to deal with no-shows and replanning of staff on jobs etc
Report back to owners on a weekly basis
Help staff to communicate issues and ideas to improve working environment
Ensure staff are properly trained and necessary certificates are up to date
Some Experience in House Removals beneficial but not essential
