Mercia Athletic FC is an FA-affiliated football club in Birmingham and Coventry, operating across the Midlands Football League Youth & Adult Coventry Alliance. Role Description
This is a volunteer role for a 2nd Team Manager/Coach at Mercia FC. The manager/coach will be responsible for overseeing the 1 day of training and Match Day activities of the second team, including planning and conducting training sessions, developing game strategies, and managing team selection. Additional responsibilities include fostering team cohesion, providing mentorship to players, and ensuring adherence to club values and standards. This is an on-site role located in Coventry.
Requirements
- Previous coaching experience 2 Years Experience
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to foster a positive, inclusive, and teamwork-oriented environment
- FA coaching badges - Level 1 Coaching License (UEFA C preferably)
- Commitment to the club\'s values of diversity, inclusion, and community engagement
- Organizational and time-management skills
- First Aid & Adult Safe Guard FA Certified is beneficial
