About the Role:
We are looking for a Domestic Solar Electrician to join our established electrical company. Mercia Electrical specialise in renewable energy, including Solar PV, Battery Storage and Electric Car Charging. We are supporting the transition away from fossil fuels by developing large-scale Solar PV projects whilst also supporting the nation to become more energy efficient. We are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about renewable energy to join our reputable and trustworthy company.
Candidate will be responsible for:
- Install & Commission Solar PV and Battery storage system (Domestic only)
- Ensure installations meet BS 7671 and MC standards
- Complete testing, certification and handovers
- Communicate well with customers and be able to answer questions
- Stay informed about changes in renewable energy policies and incentives

About you:
- Have a record of successful Solar PV installations
- Have the ability, confidence, and attitude to address issues on site whilst communicating with all divisions of the company and the customer
- Have the ability to work well as a team with excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude
- Are you genuine, reliable, and trustworthy?
Required Qualifications/Experience:
- NVQ Level 3 (Required)
- 18th Wiring Edition (Required)
- Solar PV and Energy Storage Systems (EESS) (Required) – We can support getting this qualification for the right candidate
- Over one year's experience in solar installations (Required)
- Inspection and Testing (Required)
- Strong knowledge of solar installation processes, codes and regulations
- Excellent time management and organisational abilities
- Willing to travel up to 90 minutes from the office location (DE3 0BX)
