Join One of the UK’s Growing Renewable Energy Contractors Mercia Electrical Ltd is an established renewable energy contractor specialising in commercial solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations across the UK.

As our workload continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Plant Operator / Groundworker to join our commercial delivery team.

Please note that this role is Midlands based with nationwide travel This is a varied, hands-on role combining plant operation with groundworks.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of the team and is happy to get involved wherever needed.

About the Role Your time will be split between: Operating telehandlers on commercial solar installations.

Operating mini excavators for trenching and excavation works.

Completing groundworks for commercial EV charging installations.

Excavating, installing ducting and draw pits.

Reinstatement of surfaces including tarmac, concrete, block paving and soft landscaping.

Loading and unloading materials and supporting site logistics.

Working alongside electricians and installation teams to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Carrying out daily plant inspections and basic maintenance.
